WARNING: Supreme brush users
« on: November 28, 2015, 03:15:46 pm »
I have given the medium hybrid quite a few hours on the glass now and have found that it fails (for me anyway) to remove bird strikes (wing and body pattern).

I give strike a good scrub, leave to soak a minute or two, followed by second good scrub, then clean the whole window, but when I go back and check later residue is still there.

Last straw today a good pigeon strike on an upstairs window so I though I will really be extra thorough with scrubbing it, only to come back a bit later and it was still there. Ended up putting my xline brush on the pole to clean it again (single scrub and rinse), shortly after customer came out to tell me it was gone.

Real shame as I like using the supreme but it simply fails to deal with bird strikes.

My observations on the medium hybrid are:
1. The outer bristles need to hold their shape better instead of collapsing into the glass.
2. Alex needs to dispense with the spare jet holes and pack the brush with more and possibly denser inner bristles.

Interesting observations, been using the mixed medium supreme since launch not had any feedback from any of the guys about it not removing bird strike.

I was part of the team doing a hospital clean last week with lots of seagul deposits, brush cut through them quickly and easily - as we also cleaned all the insides I can confirm they defo removed everything off the glass

As far as I can tell it removes other marks/dirt and is a very nice brush to use.

3 times in the last few days I have had the experience of not removing a bird strike (that is every time I have gone back and checked after the glass dried off a bit).

I seem to be able to clean windows faster with this brush but do not feel I can trust it to use as my main brush. Currently going back to xline mono.

ive been using supremes since they came out and personally love the soft flocked and have the medium mixed too that ive been using on a bus shelter contract i had that havent been cleaned in a few years and didnt have any probs myself?
ive just ordered an xline to try due to all the good reviews but i cant fault the gardiner supremes myself as i think theyre a compromise between the heavy superlite and xtreme brushes!!

Pure water never deals well with finger marks

WARNING: Supreme brush users

Why so dramatic? Is there a bomb threat, a flood alert warning or something else life threatening?

All brushes are the same. You just need to scrub more,

I have a house on my round that is notorious for bird strikes. Every visit there's usually two imprints on the rear windows of the house. The woman always mention them. Its no surprise they're there. as always, but she's never said they weren't cleaned off properly last time. So I'm guessing she's observant and also likes a good job done but is also satisfied with the clean the Supreme brushes we use do the job adequately.

I only use  Xtreme brushes and never get any problems so cant see a Supreme being any different, carry a small spray
bottle with a chemical degreaser of your choice and spay it on the brush to remove any stubborn marks.
Virosol or similar.

Depends on what's on the fingers.

any grease and pure struggles which is why an additive might just help a bit.

Unfortunately diluted beyond any reasonable use, takes a good degreaser at the recommended concentrations to shift stubborn marks.

What's reasonable? Do you know at what dilution rate a detergent/wetting agent/soap or whatever begins to break down grease? I don't.

NuClean based on metabolic chemistry which is non-aggressive on pvc or glass surfaces will easily cut through grease at a dilution of 30-1 and will not dry onto the glass either, 1 US gal diluted at 30-1 will produce 126 x  750ml ready to use spray bottles of degreaser, from experience i would say its probably the safest and most effective degreaser available on the market today. for anyone who would like further information under no obligation email  info@jskcleaning.ie   Tadgh
