All I can say is good old talktalk has caused me no end of grief as they have been hacked more than once and the scammers are now relentless. Thank you talktalk for allowing my confidential data  to be stolen and sold on around the world to scamming scumbags >:(

I had an email from Natwest this morning telling me that my expected deposit was awaiting my confirmation. Sorry for the inconvenience and please just click the link.
Idiots.
But they must catch people or else they would try something else.

Any dodgy paypal emails forward them to spoof@paypal.com I'm not kidding either.
We look at them, they look through them.

I had a PayPal email saying someone has accessed your account. This was a couple of weeks ago and I obviously thought it was bullshiit.
Just logged on and someone has accessed it from the US. >:(

Send out 1,000,000 automated e-mails. 1 in 10,000 falls for it they've got 100 victims.

Each loses £50.00. Thats conservative I'd imagine. There's £5,000. Not bad for doing just about zilch.

Here's one to watch out for, you get a call saying your back account/ card has been hacked, they ask you to confirm your details
and you refuse as you don't trust them, they then tell you to hang up and call your bank as soon as possible so that they can sort it for you.
You do this and the scammer hasn't hung up on their end so you get the same scammer they just have a different person ready
to answer.

I don't believe it as just found out the webhost I use for some of the sites I’ve built have been hacked. Over 13.5 million customer’s confidential data has been stolen... Is nothing safe FFS   ???

Looking at my website stats I can see that the US and Brazil are the second and third highest viewers to the site! Luckily I have a bigger % from Glasgow.
I have Paypal on the website and my Paypal was accessed from the US.

Can I restrict the countries that have access so its only the UK.

They would have to know your paypal user name and password to get into your paypal control panel to be able to do any damage surely?

When I logged in to check on funds/payments it told me there had been an unusual access, so I shut the page down and opened up another signed in and that's what it was telling me (15 Oct). I've changed the password and I'll change everything else just to be sure. The only thing that bothers me is I have had to use an old laptop of my brother in laws and he hasn't got a clue when it comes to scams, so I was wondering if there was something hiding on his old laptop.

Over the last month I have become a victim of a clever 'Eastern European' scam whilst out shopping. Here is how the scam works:

Two very good looking girls in their twenties come over to your car as you are packing your shopping into the boot. They both start cleaning your windscreen, their breasts almost falling out of their skimpy t-shirts. When you thank them and offer them a tip, they will say no and instead ask for a lift to another supermarket, in my case Tesco.

You agree and they both get in the back seat. On the way there, they start undressing, until both are completely naked, then, when you pull over to see what is going on , one of them climbs over into the front and starts crawling all over your lap, kissing you, touching you intimately and thrusting herself against you, while the other one steals your wallet!

I have had my wallet stolen 7 ten times already this month including twice yesterday, so please warn all the guys you know to be on the lookout for this scam. The best times seem to be just before lunch and about 4.30pm.

PS aldi hav cheap wallets on sale for £1.99 each, but Lidl wallets are £1.75 and look better.
You can't polish a turd
