As above modified all my pole lately as the pole hose is getting damaged when I put the pole into the pole tube in the van so have just used a  push fit john guest fitting at the base of the first and locket with a small tie wire this then goes into the first section with glue or tape. The pole hose is inserted when the pole is closed it will stick out slightly. Any push removed when stored. The pole hose is rolled up onto the reel for the next time if tits the next day I loose it from the reel hose as it will drip.
P.s if you fit  the pole hose into section one when left it the sun so its hot the hose keeps the tention on the top push fit connection. This tension will keep the pole hose taunt inside the 1 section and cannot come loose the same if the water pressure is up the hose will not be able to come free. You will need to switch of the water in the van then release the pole hose at the bottom of the pole.

i dont know how you ve ended up with this problem.ive been using pole tubes in my van for over a year now and never damaged pole hose when sliding poles in.

I use pole hose on the outside of wfp poles as find it better that way for a number of reasons.
So you could say my wfp's are tubless too

Main advantages for me are as follows:

Easy to store poles and extra sections
Easy to add/take off sections when required
Easy to control  water flow using pinch method so no taps, aquadapter or aquataps required.
Easy to convert a wfp for other uses like a guttercam inspection pole, progutter pole, trad pole etc.

Some can't get on with the pole hose being on the outside but works well for me

That's gonna depend on the size of the pole, diameter of the tube and maybe the brand of pole hose.

Slap bash, I have modded in a similar way but used rectus fitting so pump need not be turned off, its the same principle as exceed or what wcw is now offering.
Personally I like it and think its great to try new ideas .
Not everybody will agree but for me it works very well.

only have one main pole ( if you wish ) and add remove sections quickly
easier and quicker to clean pole sections and hose
keeps van tidier with hose removed from pole ( no tangled mess )
