I have started to clean the windows in the rain  only stopping if I get to wet or the rain is blowing on the windows . Been doing it all week and very surprised by the feed back . No one has said a thing against cleaning in the rain most comments have been well you need to work you have bills to pay .Got a comment from someone who I don't clean for I wished my window clean did them regardless of the rain . Was tempted to offer my services but don't need the work  any thoughts

I work In All weathers.  I like to choose my days off, and not always have to just take time off when it's wet.

Well, i did it for first time today, always been too scared to do it in case of complaints or people moaning, but was getting too far behind so just said feck it and got p we thru.

its a mind set .... I get home some times and the missus says did you get rained off ?? errr what rain ?? ... don't even notice it anymore.

Next time it rains just carry on but promise yourself if you get more than 2 "not today its raining" then you will go home early .... guarantee you will get zero ......... unless you have a load of messers on your books who use rain as an excuse

once you have decent waterproofs and keep working when its wet,customers (and you!)get used to it and you earn more money per annum and very rarely get behind schedule.

im off this week though as im decorating my living room.

I only work in the rain. Got 'Sunned' off loads of times in June - hardly worked at all.

I've done the painting . girlfriend is doing all the wallpapering tomorrow !as she's an interior designer she's really good at it!plus I get all the luxury wall coverings,blinds etc at trade price!

It's business and cleaning in the rain was one of my better decisions.  I lost the odd customer over it but the extra money I made far exceeded those few losses - plus I know that the customers I have can live with me working this way.  I will probably lose an occasional customer in future because of it too.
So, clean in the rain loses me a customer one day.  Loss - £12 - £20ish of work.  Pick up a new customer in the next few days to cover it.  Other alternative - take the day off and lose whatever you would have earned that day.

I have always baulked at working in the rain, but this month has been even wetter than usual here, so I have gone out and worked away. If it gets heavy, I stop and let it pass over, but apart from that I have cracked on and have been really surprised how customers have accepted me turning up and cleaning. No so long ago I was being turned away if there was a cloud in the sky!

cant be bothered getting wet at my age,dont need the money bad enough,ifs its raining at 8 i will wait till it fines up before i start,if it rains while working will sit in car for short time but if it keeps up will go home for cuppa and catch up with telly till it stops or have early dinner,plus side is most wok only 10 mins from home.couple week back when it gave heavy rain i wallpaperd dininig room lost days wage but saved on getting a decorater in

Depends on how you want to work I suppose and if you don't mind working outside when it's raining.
Obviously should draw the line when the quality of the job is affected and more importantly safety become an issue weather wise unlike some which seem just plan bonkers.

With bank holiday August is a short month of 20 days of Monday to Friday so will be working in rain if needs be. .... fortunately with a lot of compacting and pruning this year have managed to get round down to about 16 / 17 days so have a few days slack in system ....................... if you work Saturdays then you got a few more days of course .... I don't work Saturday's anymore as done my fair share of 26 years selling cars

 I don't want the lads moaning , last time I wore water proofs you sweated that much in them our were as wet on the inside as the outside , mind it was along time ago
