So often ashed on the forum which battery to buy my own experience avoid the label  Advanced of bay had two and both lasted less than a year as not invoice comes with your purchase it difficult to prove when you have bought. The best so far has been Numax but see to it that you get paper work.  And don`t tell them its for window cleaning say it for you caravan as they say we stuff of the batteries.

It hard to know, personally I think its just the luck of the draw, I'm on my 3rd battery all have been Platinum 85amp
the first two lasted over 3 years each and the third one is starting to give up after a year.

The thing about batteries is that they are easily ruined by overcharging, letting them run too flat and so on, a lot of
battery guarantees will depend on the dealer believing you didn't cause the fault in the battery yourself, I couldn't see
some of them replacing a leisure battery after six months unless the fault was obvious, a starter battery might be different.

Get a hold of an old fashioned batter charger one that doesn't switch off automatically.   When you think your battery is giving up the ghost charge it with the charger.  Leave it on a low charge for two or three days or all weekend.  Make sure if it bubbles over its not going to damage anything but it shouldn't if its on a low charge.  This brings the battery back to like new.

Any battery sold by PureFreedom as if they die early they will tell you that because it has been used for commercial purposes that any  warranty is void .

Halfords no bad would probs last more than a year but mine was losing charge after 10 months so got a full refund .

Currently using a hankook battery with a 4yr warranty  bought of Amazon  marketplace  Battery Megastore  based in Tewkesbury  had it since  last October/November  .

I've just bought a 135ah Banner battery from GSF for £98. Should have been £150ish but I had a 35% off voucher. It's s big old beast.

i usually buy 75ah leisure batteries from my local caravan spares shop for around £70.they just fit in my pumpbox.they normally last around 18 months before losing their charge.

Just checked my battery its an Alphaline battery 75ah  paid about  £65.00  , Funny thing is it has the same pic on as Hankook batteries both have 4 year warranty but the hankook batteries are a good bit cheaper 88ah for £51.50

I don`t charge my vans battery so only on the relay and Numax works very well but to to being a little short last time I bought a Advance brand deep cycle battery after a few months I noticed its was not charging at all, It just discharged and I put it on the smart charger it would not charge beyond 10 volts and would not turn a pump hence the diss the Advance label. And  remember do say its for window cleaning as they will all tell you your warranty is null and void. Being  forewarned.

Being a cheapskate I use secondhand batteries from garages at about a fiver/tenner a pop. I rotate them and usually have two I use - one on charge, the other in the van.

They all come and go within about a year but my Banner just goes on and on - bear in mind I bought it with two others for £15. The other two have died and gone for scrap where I got a tenner for them!

So I looked Banner up and they get very good reviews. If I ever buy new that's what I'm getting. But of course it will be used in my caravan first!

And the most important part is the charger itself.

Get a smart charger.

I use ctek mxs 5.0.

It can revive/recondition dead batteries, and doesn't over charge.

They are maintenance free right?

I wish they did a split charger that could keep getting 13.5 volts back into it so that it constantly put out around 12-8 ish volts,when it's had a good charge the water is hotter. When the vans running it does charge at around 13-5vts but it doesn't hold it for that long

I went through 3 of the Platinum batteries in about 2 years.
Utter rubbish.
Have been using a Halfords leisure battery for over a year if I remember rightly, which continues to perform as well as it did when first purchased.
