Depending on what netbook you have i can't see a run of the mill tablet helping.

Maybe a proper surface running windows would be ok!

Anyways, this should help.

Yes me too, I've had mine a few months.
You need a windows based operating system tablet and the HP Stream 7 running windows 8 is reasonably priced and just the job.

Hi Andy,

Do you run this as a stand alone, or do you back it up to your desk top pc as we currently do with our pda's?

There are 3 of us each with pda's and we sync them to the desk top after every working day.

Hi Spruce apologies for late reply.
I was told by Paul @ George Systems that the program can only be run on a pc or tablet not both.
So I decided to just use the tablet which is much handier as I take it with me everyday.
I pay the £12 annual fee for George Internet Back up so that if I ever lose the tablet or it gets stolen all my round information can be transferred to another device.

combat.
I`m pleased with this tablet, if you go on you tube and type in model there are a few reviews

running George is good only drawback is the smaller screen so George is smaller on screen.
tablet switches on in seconds never timed it but I don`t think I`m lying when I say turning on tablet an logging onto George is around a minute, I have George password protected so that makes slightly slower.

the keyboard case I bought because I use the diary planner in George a lot and I think it`s impossible to shift click and drag drop custies around with the tablets touch screen alone.

while I remember the only thing wrong with the keyboard is @ this symbol and " are wrong way round on keyboard so you type @ and get" hope that makes sense ;D

also you will find it easier using a soft tip touch pen for George rather than fingers.

hope this helps.

Why would anyone who is happy using George want to pay £300 a year to use Cleaner Planner ??? Why does some people keep persisting in trying to ram Cleaner Planner in our faces everytime we come on this website. As a sole trader some of us are happier using George and saving £300 a year to spend on other things outside of the window cleaning world

because its really good!its £180 a year for the basic £15 a month package and im so glad i switched.i used george for 5 years but cleaner planner is much better IMO even for a sole trader.
price higher/work harder!

I've had George for 17 years and I love it. Had a few others and the support sucks. Don't wish to swap over as it's on a 7 inch tablet, does all I need and happier keeping 300 or £180 quid in my pocket rather than someone else's pocket for doing near if enough the same thing as personally I think cleaner planner is over rated and a waste of money when I'm happy with what I've got. Don't need an all singing, all dancing, fancy window cleaning program when I'm pretty organised anyway

Hey! its about tablets! Woah boys!
Total novice about tablets so can you print off docs from the HP7 stream?
I suppose you can but better ask first.
Seems to be ideal for me. I have a Palm at the moment which I hot sync after work but hot sync is very hit and miss and can take ages if the Palm and the computer have fallen out and are not talking!

Yes you can print documents etc. just the same.
It functions just the same as a notebook/laptop only smaller.
If there was one negative I would say it's the battery life (I think it's around 4-5 hours).
First day I used it I left it on and after a few hours the battery had died.
However im now in the habit of turning it off between uses and just turning it back on when I need to look at it (it only takes seconds to power up or shut down).
The battery now lasts days between charges by using it this way.

I don't understand the comment aboout george only being able to be used on a pc or tablet but not both ?  ???
I backup from my pc on a memory stick in the morning and then put it in the tablet and drag the back up to george system restore on the tablets desk top and I'm good to go, do the same when I get home if I need to do accounts on the pc.
I got a linx tablet from staples before xmas, Really like it and can fit it in the inside pocket of my jacket  :)
As for battery issues, just get a decent ciggy adapter with 1 or more usb sockets on it, great for your phone, sat nav or e cig anyhow  ;D

Yeah I think what I was probably meant to say was that you can only do the back up for George on one device (pc or tablet).
