Sign of the times?

Is it me or is this site winding down? Facebook seems to be full of conversation yet this site seems to have lost it's momentum.

Could be just me I suppose.

All the trolls have left and gone onto FB

one FB group site is just pure LOL to read.

Trad rat name calling. Earning £500 a day and finished by 2pm. Some FB groups are good but they are the secret ones. Ie Not visible to public search.

peaks and troughs dave.ive been a member since 2009!head over to the non cleaning section if you want more action..........or just delete your account and go and do something else with your time.

i mainly check in before i go to work and again in the evening usually for 30 mins at a time these days.

ive reached a "comfortable plateau" in window cleaning/earnings,new equipment etc and really theres not much else to learn as everythings in place to allow me to operate an efficient, profitable cleaning business.

i keep logging in because i like to touch base with you fellow window cleaners and offer a little help and advice sometimes or check out the odd bit of new equipment.

i cant believe how much this site has helped me in 6 years!my round is just a million times better than it was when i registered.my attitude has changed a lot for the better and i can finally earn a half decent living out of this game.

price higher/work harder!

Things always quieten down during the good weather.  Just wait till we get a prolonged spell of bad weather; it gets really busy then.

It's got nothing to do with the new layout....
Just chant..... Hare Krsna, Hare Krsna, Krsna Krsna, Hare Hare, Hare Rama, Hare Rama, Rama Rama, Hare Hare. It's beats chanting Tory Tory or Labour Labour.

People get tired of reading made up stories and  go use other forums maybe? It's a fact of life that people get sick of reading total b/s when there is no need for it. One particular poster on here gets let's say a bit carried away with his stories  ;D
We look at them, they look through them.

I predicted this site would die a slow death when the site was changed. I probably use it less than 50% of the time than before. It's faster now but far less usable.

Took a while to get familiar with the new look of this site. It's growing on me. Not so many posting just yet but I suspect wc's are taking advantage of the good weather.

Same here.

This new layout is so naff. To me it's like stating the bleeding obvious but as with all things bleeding obvious, those who run things don't see it.

It's like when the council improve a junction by adding new traffic lights. The result is worse traffic congestion than before but will the council admit it or change it back...... nope. It's the same with this new forum.

You obviously don't use Facebook. CIU is a sea of calm compared to the foul mouthed ignorance on display on some of those groups. I have unsubscribed from all except the Lee Burbidge one, which bearing in mind that I think he's irritating and self publicity seeking says something about the others.

The new layout is ok here. What's all the fuss about?

Matt.

I think, there's still plenty of friendly guys in here, I don't have or want face book and am more than happy on ciu. I also similar to dazmond have learnt a lot of stuff on here, and enjoy the banter.

Long live CIU.

I'm on a couple of FB sites - I didn't know CIU had one. However, the language and general atmoshere is pretty grim and not my style at all - hence I don't post on them. Frankly I find them boring and disgusting.
Someting to be said for Mods I think.

y'know dave i agree with you on that one,i belong to a fair few fb groups although hardly look at them as it is full of tossers, how much for this house  look at what i did today etc,too much willy waving and jostling for position, that being said fb has many secret groups that make it very intresting and informative and worthwhile being on fb,as for ciu-don't like the new layout but its my choice as to whether i log on or not
