So you will be using extreme brushes on sash windows? No wonder you don't like wfp results ;)

I'd lose customers daily if I used extremes on sash windows which are on the these new housing developments.

can you explain whats wrong with using an extreme  on sash windows please

Funny I said that to a mate yesterday Dave, never had any complaints from the extreme. I'm going back to it, yes it takes more scrubs but I don't think there's much in it vs a slower heavier brush and like been said extreme far more accurate, no flicking around, can work right near to vents. Also glad I didn't get over excited about these, it's a decent enough brush just different strokes for different folks  ;)

Fails to clean corners of frames/sills propley.

Unless you adjust the angle of the brush todo the sills.

3rd story sash windows and an extreme LOL

Glass will be fine. Sills will be rubbish.

Sash windows on new housing eastates are plastic with stuck on bars. The extremes collapse too easily. Corners of the Georgian windows are never great with an extreme either.

Just use a swivel.

Anyhoow, I used the new brush again today. Wind picked up so was glad I had it on as it's a tad more stable. After that I had a big conservatory clean, unfortunately the Hybrid was no better than my stiff Extremes and failed to shift the fly spots and pollen. Bit disappointed really.

I do have a swivel but don't use it.... i find that when cleaning second floor up the extreme is next to useless on the sills. As the lack of bristles prevents a good scrub.

Weird.

I am ordering a few more with fans. Love the brush!

I have a feeling that those who prefer lightness over cleaning power will try to justify that the supremes aren't any better than extremes, and that's why they are going back to the extreme brush.

For me it's night and day.  I used extremes for about a year, and then I noticed I was getting brush strokes on the glass (similar to the poor results Dave had mentioned from WFP). Extremes are only good on very clean glass in my opinion.

I do use pure water additives, but I'm finding the supreme soft hybrid to scrub better than anything I've ever used, it's the splay of the brush that does it.

Snail trails and bird mess is coming off in a few swipes for me.

Am I the only one to find this?

I'm starting to think this is why. Lol

Are you finding the supreme soft hybrid has good scrubbing power Damien?

For me it's rivalling the tecbuk hybrid, and superlite flocked. They have always been my previous best brushes for cleaning power.

Supreme hybrid soft black has a nice splay of bristles and no bumper bar on the ends to damage Georgian windows, ...... I will be using it all the time on Georgian windows now as less scrubbing and the width of the brush is slightly narrow regarding the stock which fits better in the Georgian frames. As for the medium it scrubs better than an extreme but not as quick as using a sill brush using a brush on technique for rinsing as that sits flusher than the supreme. White bristles don't agitate bleaching seals as bad as the black bristles so it's black brush for wooden frames and white for seals that bleach run marks if using the wrong brush.

I agree with Dave on one thing. When you get a new brush you think it's the best brush of all time.

Having used all but the stiff supreme the soft hybrid is the best. It's the best brush I have used.

hmm  well i use a long arm swivel so mebbe that makes a difference, never had any complaints tho & i clean  ground, 1st, 2nd & 3rd floors regularly
as for the stuck on plastic bars the extremes are far better for them than a heavier brush i think
still i might get a supreme to give it a try

The supreme soft is naff scrubbing up and down as it bounces over the lead something terrible on leaded windows but usable if scrubbing sideways. The supreme white is better on leaded windows for scrubbing up and down movement. The soft black is lovely on Georgian windows once you get use to aiming the angle of the stock one click higher than the extreme brushes.

Who in the right mind would scrub up and down with any brush on leaded windows  ??? , it just aint done otherwise it will lift the lead   :P :P
