To blame the vision I feel is harsh , lol ...
It's been fine for you mostly  for say 8 weeks or more , then you clean in the winds and then say it's the vision .
I think the WIND is the big fundamental factor

Not quite so given the facts I know about Dazmond.

He's not had complaints from working in the wind before (or at least hasn't posted about them).  Now he has.  He's not a newbie; he's been WFP for about four or five years.  The one thing that isn't constant from his normal way of working (that we know about) is  that he's using Vision.  So, I would suggest that it just might be Vision causing the problem.

I'm not saying it is.  However, if I were selling a product, I might be tempted to test to see if there really is a problem with the combination of wind and Vision.

Vin
I am working with vision and did notice quite a bit of spotting on the glass today so maybe Daz is right about vision and the wind ???

First complaint yesterday! I don't normally work in bad weather. Forecast was better than Monday but the wind just got stronger and stronger, as I was out thought I'd carry on!! Mistake!!!!
I reckon it's the Rock Salt getting whipped up by the wind,it's ground down to a really fine dust and it's everywhere now just after all this ice and snow.

It wasn't a mistake if you earned say £200 and only one complaint which you rectified no doubt. Staying home and earning nothing would have been a mistake.
Sorry but don't agree. I never work more than 3 days each week so I don't need or want to work in bad weather.I just re-schedule until it's fine for me and fine for the customer. Some of the posts on here show how many just seem totally selfish and greedy, boasting about how much they earn and spend. As someone said "Where's the customer's interests in all this?"
I want more money and I don't give a **** if I've done a good job or not.
Yet the one's who bang on about it the most are the ones who "pride" themselves on giving a "professional service."

That's just It tho. Boasting. Don't believevthe rubbish some of these fools spout.
Yeah, three days a week... must think you were born yesterday eh?
What's wrong with working 3 days a week? Don't believe me? Many do it.
No rent , No mortgage, No debts, No dependants, Savings, Pension, Investments etc... It is possible believe me!!!!

Vin

Vision has been extensively tested vin.

Even to the stage of taking backpacks out with just pure water in, and having our van systems with vision/pure, doing certain windows with vision, and certain windows with pure.

There is no increase in spotting due to vision. Its most likely to be an external weather problem.

I certainly wouldn't be using vision if it was making my job harder, and the same goes with all other testers/users over the past year or so.

It's really easy to test though for any who are unsure. Test it out on your own windows. Just pure on some, then vision/pure in others.

See the results for yourselves and don't just take it on face value.

after 2 months window cleaning with vision treated water ive come to the conclusion that it SLOWS ME DOWN esp with rinsing.the bubbles i just cant get used to.the water seems gloopy at times and slowly runs down the glass making rinsing slower and longer.its also harder to get all the little bits off the glass.

the glide across the glass with the brush doesnt help with scrubbing either IMO.the windows do seem to shine more though.

the back windows i had to re clean yesterday were simply awful as if id used fairy washing up liquid and let it dry on the windows.ive never had anything like it in nearly 5 years wfp!

also no matter how you mix it in your tank you get splurges of vision at different times during your working day coming through the jets creating loads of bubbles on the glass and your cant tell whether its bits of dirt or just bubbles.....

.....so im out lads......sorry to the vision guys........but this is my HONEST take on it after 2 months use.

i had a day off today not because of weather cos i promised to go to nottingham with the missus to pick up 4 chairs shes bought off ebay!5 hours driving(stuck in traffic for an hour!) ::)roll ;D

sean how do you think i can afford luxury holidays every year in 5 star hotels?

own 2 vehicles, a van for work and a car for leisure?

can afford extreme poles?

can buy what i want when out shopping(within reason!)and afford to eat out in nice restaurants a few times a week?

.....its not by having a day off when the weathers bad thats for sure! ;D ;D
Where's what's best for the customer in all this?

who said anything about whats best for the customer?im out to make money in this game mate.customers are cash cows.

obviously i try and provide a good service at all times but if the clean is a bit below par than my normal cleaning then ill happily call back and re clean.

as ive said before i cant remember the last time i had a complaint until this last week.it was a couple of years ago at least.

Dazmond try just putting 1 or 2 squirts in your tank. Far less bubbles that way but I find it still gives a slight cleaning edge then just pure alone.

Working along the South Devon coast I don't mind working in the rain but won't bother working in blustery strong winds as it's a waste of time as I don't wish to get a bad name for doing a crap job and having to redo windows free of charge. Pays dividends having these horrible days off as I end up getting new customers from those making a hash of windows when weather totally naff, common sense really. Nice to have a day off when the weather is naff anyway.

I couldn't agree more.

I picked up 2 jobs next to each other this week from exactly that and they're not fussed when they're done but not when the wind is going to blast salt over their windows the same day.

Strong winds - day off

Darran

sorry Darran did you say take the day off? ;D

it doesnt compute with my work ethic matey! ;D

theres been 3 or 4 very windy days over the last week here in the north west. im not taking the week off thats for sure.i think the only solution is to blade off the water on the windy side of the properties methinks.

i also think having vision in my water hasnt helped either. :(

Been out today and been cleaning on new estates. Ya know the ones, concrete jungles. Picked up 3 new customers, checked back and all were dusty due to wind. Re cleaned the fronts on one house and just used pure water no vision (barrel DI water) Same results. I thought vision has done me over as well. But nope. Lack of rain and dusty here :)

Yes.

I work in all weathers and have been using vision for about 15 months now. Same goes for others.

It doesn't matter what your using, pure, vision or IPA, high winds always make windows dirty and dusty.

This year has been one of the windiest years for a while, so this may account for people never noticing this before.
