Pole hose you can pinch...
« on: January 28, 2015, 09:51:34 pm »
I'm after some pole hose that when you bend it - it stops the water flow easily.

The last lot I had that did this was from Aquadapter, but they keep on changing their stuff.

Anyone know of any?

Gardiners red you can.
Takes some getting used to on cold water as it tangles a lot.
But based purely on 'pinchability' its pukka.
Ive just bought a new pole with yellow 'cold water' hose.
But not used it yet so can't comment on that.
Hope it can be pinched though

I havn't got a link to the stuff, but i'm pretty sure its silicone hose you are looking for . I remember Jeff Brimble was a big advocate of it. Might be used for airlines etc.. but it is silicone hose you want. I'll go have a quick look....

We use the Gardiners hot pole hose. It does coil a bit but you get used to it - it's pinchability is excellent!

:) I never got it too work. I still have some in the garage. The barbs on the fittings were too big. Unless I got the wrong one.

normal fittings , bugger to get them on tho I have used in the past just string tied very tightly and it works as well as o clips or cable ties  :)  I kid you not  8)

I like the way you can control the flow with your feet or hand  8)

Streamline microbore is pretty good stuff for pinching....

I'm not quite sure how to write that sentence without sounding like the big red cock.  ???   ;D
Just chant..... Hare Krsna, Hare Krsna, Krsna Krsna, Hare Hare, Hare Rama, Hare Rama, Rama Rama, Hare Hare. It's beats chanting Tory Tory or Labour Labour.

I remember the Green pole hose from Unger was good for stopping the flow by pinching the hose.
What was that hose made of?
