Anodised Aluminium Cladding
« on: January 19, 2015, 01:11:23 pm »
Righto,

I have to do some test panels for a large cladding job. Its gold anodised aluminium cladding and there is heaps of it. I have had a quick look, i notice Tensid do some cladding cleaning products. Anyone know of any other products that will sort this cladding out? its quite stained, run marks etc. Looks quite dull too. It hasn't been touched in over 20 years.

Just looking for a few specific products i can go back with for the tests.

The company im subbing for has tried degreaser/water/soaps etc and nothing touched it.

Miracle Heavy Duty Acid Cleaner but do a small test area first to ensure it doesn't strip the gold colouring off as well

Mike,

Its a struggle sometimes. I did a test panel on some red standstone yesterday, within a few minutes, there was a sheet of ice where i had cleaned actually on the stone face. I keep my machine anti-freezed up after every use, but the hoses are still getting a little icey. I just struggle on. From previous years, it doesnt usually start picking up till the middle of Feb, but this year i have been out everyday, quoting and cleaning.

Hi Mike - Good Point - we have it specially manufactured in America and have it shipped over - so it can be bought from me but I haven't started selling it yet - due to the fact that I hate post and packaging etc

When it freezes what happens to the water in the roof tile you have just saturated ?

Darran,

I have emailed you. I would need a tester first to try but if the job kicked off i would need quite a bit of the stuff.
