im booked for xmas eve, got several customers who wants cleans
on xmas eve

Bookings is fine. I really dont think its acceptable turning up out of blue on that day.

Ant customers of mine wanted me xmas eve would be told where to go!! ;D

If I could get away with working xmas day..i would, I have no religious
belief, my lads have grown up and rightly do their own thing and if have
the family come round after a few hours my dad and myself get fed up
and generally go fishing.

xmas day has little or no meaning to me but then again I have January off
so I get the best of it :)

Its only taken 11 months and 1 week but garry999's first sensible post of the year.

That's a bit unfair Scrooge McSoupy. I feel you may have overlooked his post from April 27th. His impersonation of a sheep was spot on and the perfect reply to social media in pubs.

Gary people dont have to be on facebook for hours in a pub? You scroll down check if you have notifications thats it? Takes about 30seconds lol
Part of the banter in pubs sometimes is laughing at those people you speak of who updates everything they do etc

Sorry matey but when im out im too busy having a good time
to even think about checking facebook  ;D

Im afraid you are one of the many sheep out there ;D

Try it for a week,go out with your mates take your phone switch
it off though and see if you an resist the temptation to have a look
i guarantee you will be missing nothing if you do or you will confirm
yourself as a brainwashed sheep if you cant resist.

Me thinks the latter ;D
I tried this when i ran out of 4g this week.... And i had to buy a internet booster haha

BBBBAAAAAAA!!!! ;D

ive worked xmas eve til about 1pm lots of years.never had a problem.i wont be this year though.you tend to get a few more tips as well.

the great thing is DO WHAT YOU WANT!!WORK/DONT WORK ITS ENTIRELY UP TO YOU!!

ill shut up shop on 23rd dec and go back on monday 5th jan.a full 12 days off.plenty of food, laughter and meeting up with old friends/family and just generally enjoying the time off away from window cleaning. :)
price higher/work harder!

"My wife is from your neck of the woods.
What's your business called?
Do you venture this way at all?"

I just call myself ,Nick Burton window cleaning services and no , all my works within a 3 mile radius of home, which is great efficiency wise but miss being in your area. When at anglian water, Stamford , deeping and bourne were my patch plus all the wonderful villages out that way, absolutely loved it.

Nice compact round there Nick.
Yeah, we like Stamford.
Quite like Spalding tbh-just too near to the in-laws ;D

Working a normal day on the 24th.  Also working between Christmas and New Year (probably starting a bit later though as many custies on holiday).
I wanted some time off but vehicle problems and working more slowly due to backpacking it have sdeen me slide further behind with the work - not to mention the additional costs of possible vehicle repair and hiring a van.

DG don't be a dipstick mate. ;D...ive had loads of great Christmases with my
kids over the years but like I said they have grown and its through the kids
I enjoyed it..little or no point to it for me now and when the family come
round and my sisters have had a few sherbets believe me you would want to get
out the way and its far more enjoyable on the riverbank enjoying a nip with the
old man and enjoying the peace and quiet.

I can understand the sisters bit.
We get far too many ordinary days throughout the year so make the most of it.
Christmas morning park run will get you into it ;D

If or when the grandkids arrive no doubt I will find it fun again but
at the moment I would be just as happy working or fishing.
