Is this a good buy?
« on: October 06, 2014, 11:13:58 am »
Right, i'm looking for a van, and eventually a wfp system fitted.

This is all ready to go: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/window-cleaning-van-water-fed-pole-transit-connect-/171465844598?pt=UK_Commercial_Trucks&hash=item27ec292776

Is it a good deal?
What are these vans like for reliability, has 126k on clock?

How much can you do in a day with 400 litres? Two guys?

Thanks!

You'd be out of water before lunch time
To climb mount fuji you must first find a path

400 litres is plenty for one man working all day mate, I have a 400 litre tank and have never ran out of water.

The guy who is selling it gets vans cheap then puts a budget system in and sells on, I'm not sure how reliable the van will be, ask about service history, I bought a lwb transit connect with full service history and bought all the wfp gear myself, worked out much much cheaper!

Service hostory is a must, because you've no idea how long the van will last without solid service history!

Looks like you'd be paying over the odds given mileage for the convenience of a tidy looking ready to go set up, as jakey said you could put it together yourself if you had the inclination far cheaper and with a lower mileage van for the same money or less.

Thanks guys.

1) What about the Transit Connect T230 LWB. Meant to have a 900kg payload. Is this good for a 650litre tank?

2) Is a 650litre tank enough for two lads for a day?

Thanks
