canvassing dirty tricks
« on: September 06, 2014, 08:39:25 am »
Hi guys, customer greeted me by saying someone came round two days ago and said you sold him the round , customer beloved him and had his windows done. I put him straight and customer is staying with me, it seams that people are playing dirty tricks to gain work.
Anyone else had this

Yes, I've had it.  Found out from a customer who phoned to say she was happy with us and upset that we might not be doing her windows in future.

Spent an hour or two texting and phoning every customer in the area just to let them know that if the guy knocked and said it it wasn't true.  Customers were so positive about it that I ended up feeling terrific.  Lost none.

Torin Fairholme.

Tried to sell me a round a few weeks ago. I couldn't find any proof of his business so declined the offer.

ive had a customer tell me theyve been contacted on facebook offering to undercut me, i tried to find out who it was but got rid of that customer anyway as i hated getting round the back of the house but ive never lost a customer yet, all my customers know im not the cheapest but they know theyre getting a reliable honest good job and they know they can trust me not to rob theyre houses like some of these chav window cleaners!!
