A couple of customer enquiries per year at best! I've actually blocked Yell sales numbers on my phone as they are absolute pests!

I only use Yell.com for the free listing it is all about content from varied sources which will help when people google window cleaner within your locality . Mike

Mike hit the nail on the head.  ;)
Get Nat at avondhu-internet.com to build you a nice responsive website. I can't recommend him enough for quality & price of work.

LOL against the grain here, but loads!!!
In fact last month secured a £120 a month commercial job!  Regularly get new customers from yell or Hibu as its now called.  I would estimate over the year its worth 20 or so customers.
We're only paying £18 per month and the first job we ever got from the add was a £20 a month clean so in effect its was free from then on!!
Oooooo that is shiny!!

3 years in a row yellow pages got my details on a free listing wrong - once even putting my name with a competitors phone number (It was my father in law, so it could have been worse - - each year they still had the cheek to phone & ask me to pay £100's to upgrade to a big ad!

what do you get for your £18 a month from yellow pages ... does it guarantee you top ad ranking ??

Yeah if you Google Clarity Window Cleaning, we usually up there on page one, in fact just done it and it was 2nd on first page ;-) and my address and map contact details were on the right hand side of the page like a large advert

Also if you search on yell for window cleaning and one of the specified areas we gave we again come up near the top if not top, apparently this is on a bit of a rotation kind of thing, but if i do ever check its first page or even first!!

Obviously advertising can be hit or miss but for us Yell has been a very good investment, i bet over the last 4 years weve had quite a few hundred calls and converted quite a few into jobs, with absolutely loads and loads of one offs, lost count of gutter fascia cleans and conservatory cleans!!

No brainer as i said at £18 a month the first job we got covered the cost of it for ever!!

But when i lived in Luton in the 1 year i had the ad i think i only got 3 or 4 calls!!!!

Costs me £200ish a year and just got a phone call for £50 a month house.= £600 per year Plus about 30 other phone calls over a 3 month period.

Decent enough for a try.
