Van/worker AWOL (In the jail)
« on: July 29, 2014, 10:41:55 pm »
Today I have had to pay £180 to release my van from an impound.
After many lies I contacted the police to report my van stolen as many of my workers lies were actually not true!
He is now in custody after being arrested in a not to affluent part of the soon to be independent part of the UK.
The police couldn't tell me straight answers as to why my van was impounded due to data protection but in a round about way if there was a van stopped by police at 01:50 and if they were arrested then that person may be at xyz sheriff court tomorrow.
So this chap who has around £830 of my money from collecting was in a poop area and had been missing say 2 days was then arrested in my van, but was apparently taking care of his terminally ill mother in another very distant town.
My mind has yet to comprehend what the f**k has happened but there is a new roll of tin foil from the nearby Tesco in the van. I may be jumping the gun but tin foil and people who have recently lost 20lbs in weight makes me think, It would make most people think?
After his court appearance tomorrow he will be released on bail with whatever possessions he had when arrested including my money, which according to the law is his unless I can prove otherwise and then it would be a civil matter.
So in the event he is realised tomorrow?

Hmmm "many of his lies were not true"

Doesn't sound good at all. Maybe he was going to roast a chicken or something?

Probably say goodbye to that money mate. :(

What a nightmare.

Did you have any idea he was a dodgy character before now?

Sorry to hear about what's happened.

I would play it cool - treat him "nicely" - get your money then obviously get rid of him.

He's been working for a year now and has just been kicked out by his girlfriend for various reasons including dishonesty. She has also said that his new acquaints are wasters. Strangely I have found what seems to be the start of some apology to myself in the van and has been rewritten around ten times on different pages mostly saying that he was under paid. I do find this pathetic but we are only human.
He was into weight lifting and was last summer but has recently lost a lot of bulk. Apart from pulling him up about tobacco spilt in the van and possible steroid use there was nothing of concern.

The money will be long gone if he's on the gear.

Moving forward, get a tracker fitted to the van. Great bit of kit, tells you exactly where it is, if ignition is on, how fast it's moving etc. Loads of standard reports and ability to log all your customers and what have you.

That's something I might look at.
I'm now heading up to the sheriff court, see if I can salvage anything. Hopefully at least cover the £180

Just to update. He was released on bail at 1245 I arrived at 1330. So he had a head start, but after some searching and spying I caught him at 1700. No money shaking like a leaf either from nerves or something else, I took advice onboard and stayed calm which is the only positive here. It's now been pass back to the police.

So if anyone comes across an Alexander David Morris looking for window cleaning and pressure washing work probably in North East Scotland as he won't be around Glasgow for long tell him to f**k off.
