Just thought I would mention a great company for your vans roof racks. Hand made and perfect for the job!

I have been fitting these racks to my vans since 1990 - they are made in Clitheroe by SDV TRADE RACKS and are fully galvanised and will last longer than the van!

I personally guarantee you - there isn't a better rack in the UK

Just had rhino roof bars fitted and they were a
Dream to fit.

Depends what you put on the racks. Just ladders for me.

Did modifications have to be made to the van for the roof rack to be fitted then?
Fitting is usually simple.

In a van that size, can i ask what you put on the roof rack to warrant travelling so far for the 'best roof rack ever'?surely everything bar ladders go in the van and so a less 'fancy pants' rack would have sufficed?
I love transits, but that is one ugly looking face on a van, what have ford done....

We are not just window cleaners and the racks come in extremely handy - in fact only 15% of our business IS window cleaning.

Racks are hand made to fit the van - they just drop them on and bolt them to the roof.

We always prefer the big vans as opposed to smaller ones - we can fit more in  and with a rack ON

I understand you dont just do window cleaning, but the question was what do you use the rack for to warrant such a 'specialist' roof rack? Not what % of your business is window cleaning....

Genuinley interested btw, as i know a few guys offering multiple exterior cleaning services on a commercial level, with multiple vans like yourself, and most of the gear (bar ladders) is inside the van, hence the the need for most to be in a mwb/lwb semi hightop van....
