You might be enjoying your mistake a lot but have you considered that it probably isn't your mistake?
You said you used an acid cleaner and this happened! I assume you then neutralised it? Now you are going at it with everything you have when the deep etching has probably been caused by year's of splashed urine. A set of hand diamonds, a spray bottle of water, some penetrating enhancing sealer and a couple of hours work would have sorted it. A full blown 4/5 stage grind with a Makita or any other make of hand grinder will probably do more damage and you probably still won't get it all out if it is uric acid etching over a period of time.
Sledgehammer to crack a nut springs to mind IMHO
