Hello guys, the topic says the most. Here is an infographic with a comparison between the WFP and Traditional method, hope this will be interesting for you - http://www.reddit.com/r/cleaning/comments/264ld8/water_fed_poles_vs_traditional_window_cleaning/
It's a little survey of around 100 window cleaners from UK. I'd be more than happy if it helped some of you make a choice.

Also, i'd really appreciate it if you type your own preferences about the matter.

There is absolutely no comparison between the two, its chalk & cheese!
One method earns you a very good wage, is extremely safe & has superior cleaning results.
The other makes you work like a donkey, earns you a pittance & could very well kill you!

When will people ever take their heads out of their asses and wake up!  >:(

Horses for courses bud.
End of the day, we're in business.
Making the most money in the shortest time (for most) is the only constant.
There are pro's & con's if both methods.
Depending on how your list falls dictates which path you take.
To the lads making good money WFPing though, it is a wrong assumption to make thinking all tradders are 'ladder monkeys' & 'doley's', I know some who make a very good living from trad. Same as I know a few dossers poling.

Already popped mine. And the beer is near :) It wasn't that big of a survey so all foreign opinions are welcomed. If i get them with a brawl, so be it  ;D

I have never done traditional, but i have no opinions that wfp is 'superior', it is just a different way of doing it. Having said that, there is no way i would be working up a ladder for the kind of money tradders work for!. Even if i wanted to, i couldn't work my round traditional, it is too spread out. The travel costs would outweigh the profits.

But at the end of the day, each to there own :)

my mop and blade do come out and get used nearly every day for certain  work but its only the odd windows here and there.

once you get into your stride with wfp there is no going back providing you have a big enough tank. i have 500L of pure to take with me to work every day.perfect size for wfpoling all day for me. ;)

+1

I went from a vw caddy with 350 litre tank, to toyota hiace with a 650 tank. Wish I'd done it sooner.

I pole pretty much everything now. Still use pad and blade a bit, but prefer to pole it if possible.

Well myself i prefer to use both depending on the job requirements. I never rush a job cos window cleaning fits in around my main job. I think rushing is a bad business move people pay for a job well done not slap dash. I know time is money in your game but in my game im about quality over time.

You just can't beat a properly conducted scientific survey with peer reviewed statistics can you.

Just chant..... Hare Krsna, Hare Krsna, Krsna Krsna, Hare Hare, Hare Rama, Hare Rama, Rama Rama, Hare Hare. It's beats chanting Tory Tory or Labour Labour.
