HOT Wfp is for SUMMER!
« on: May 20, 2014, 04:50:48 pm »
After cleaning 4 large conservatorys in the last week I really think that the advantage to have hot water is in summer not  winter.

All that birds poo us baked on now , in winter it stays soft.

I don't really care about warm hands or soft hoses. Just want easier jobs.

What you all think ??

You do speak good sense there. However i find it really hard to justify the extra expense of a hot system! Especially one supplier out there who`s hot water system is atrociously expensive!

I agree, I love it when it comes to summer as you can turn the gas up for hotter water and not be so worried about cracking windows.  I can't stand cold wfp now it just feels like cleaning the windows takes forever.  I'm sure I recoup the cost over the month by working faster.

Can't see the point using hot in the summer !!! Cold cleans them just as well and for stubborn birds mess a quick soak come back to it and off it comes.

As for me warm water for winter when it's frosty & snowy to stop jets freezing and hose freezing on frosty ground especially when you start working around 4.30 am when it's freeeezzzzzzzzing 😳

what you have to remember is when us cold water users clean in this weather , by the time the water gets to the window our water is all ready warm  ;D

this is because the sun heats it up

1 the hose on the ground water come out is already warm

2 the window it self is all ready hot and the water get warm them as well

and I have not told you the best bit .... we have stated that your hot system is better in summer then in winter which kind of defeats the object and we have warm water thanks to the sun and we are not paying a penny for it  :P

I know that using hit water eats through snail and slug trails, cold water take an awful lot more scrubbing.

Cat9921 you obviously do not clean windows in England, are you in Australia or somewhere like that? Because I can assure you when my heater is turned off the cold water still comes out cold.
