Brick acid
« on: May 19, 2014, 06:43:25 pm »
Does anyone use this on the job?

I always thought it was really strong and far too powerful to use but talking to a guy the other day who was cleaning a customers hot tub he said they use it all the time. I told him I had a problem with mine, it builds up mineral deposits on the surface of the tub and becomes like sand paper.
He suggested I use brick acid,. If its really bad he suggested putting it in the water and leaving overnight. so I put 3 litres of the stuff in the tub yesterday and today it's lovely and smooth.
Recon I will try some on the glass next time I get a bad window.

It's great stuff. I use it for removing paint from slabs and paths etc before pressure washing. Pour a drop on the paint, quick scrub with a beck scrubber and then wash off.
