30%?  50%?

I'm just curious.

If someone buys an Unger product and its from one of their other distributors, out of the couple of hundred they have in the UK, we make no margin.

We weren't actually selling anything on the day, but showing some of the range to those who were interested. It's kind of the whole point of a trade show!!   It's a shame as you could of seen the Black Box in action!

to be honest we don't care about his margin! if he get 40%(doubt it!), good for him, would you work for nothing?

From a personal perspective , the unger products  I have used in the past have always been really disappointing! I found the unger resin absolute pants!

I had a look at these and I can see no advantage over buying a standalone DI vessel and an inline TDS meter. On the smallest on e at the show It would be about £50 cheaper before resin to use a conventional DI vessel . The only advantage being its easier to empty and refill .. on the downside its bulkier and would take up more room. As big Duncan B says " Im out"

Unfortunately Pete it's far from a simple and straightforward answer/figure/margin

To be honest I haven't the time or inclination to go into how to distribute products of a global company to the masses.

Tell you what, if you have a genuine interest and not just tying to be 'clever', give Unger a ring on Monday and see if you can get an account set up then you can do your own math.

I "hope" Unger are moving in the right direction. However, a "buzz" around a product does not reflect whether they will sell or not- which is ultimately only what can move anything forward. If you can only boast easier resin change to justify an inflated price against the current world standard product then IMO that isn't enough for people to cough up. Is it a goal post mover or just a different variation of what already has been proven to work without issue? If it's the same price or even just a tad higher, you might have some chance of success. After all, Unger is trying to sell to the tightest clients you could probably get!!
