Help, my CLX has sprung a leak
« on: April 22, 2014, 07:14:18 pm »
During my last job today water starting running from the handle end of my new CLX27.

My problem started when I tried to take out the gooseneck to check the hose for a split.

I undid the top clamp holding it in and pulled and twisted and pulled and twisted and ...... gave up!

Am I missing something or is the fit so flippin snug that removing it is always a nightmare???

Any tips please????

Goose neck should just slip out top of pole.

All done; the hose had come out very slightly.

just one thing, is the gooseneck meant to be such a snug fit?

It took a serious amount of brute force to get it out, and back in again.

surely that's not right???????

Shredded Wheat.

I had the same problem but if I eat three for breakfast then I can pull the gooseneck out quite easily.

Glad that you have got this apart now and sorted your leak.

The gooseneck is not meant to be that tight in the top section. Drop me an email with your details and I can arrange for a replacement one to be sent out to you.

The QuicK-LoQ Sockets should be fairly easy to undo as it shows in the videos. Sometimes if they have gone through the cold winter they can become tight as they shrink slightly. The first thing to try is to heat the brush socket up with a hair dryer on maximum until it is really warm. This will relax the plastic back to its correct size. This should sort it for you. If it does not then please send me an email with your details and I can look at getting it sorted for you with a replacement.
