false business cards
« on: March 29, 2014, 06:52:52 am »
iv been thinking of getting some printed up .  this is to get rid of  a potential new customer that you just know isnt going to work out .
on the street somebody hurries over and asks for your service, but they dont like the price  , you then say , why dont i give you a card and you can call me later .  you then give them a card where your phone number has 1 digit wrong

I very rarely find that someone who doesn't like the price calls. Hany though for someone with druggy eyes.  ;D

Why bother mate? Just tell 'em to call you and if they do make 'em pay in advance.  ;)

Give them bob plums number.

Bob used to work on one of my patches  and one day when he was working around back of a house I nicked a good handful of his business cards and pee'd in his flask .............. those business cards were used for various reasons one of which was for weird looking walk ups   :-* :-*

If someone asks for our price, they are told it.  If they don't like it, they don't become a customer. I don't see why a false business card would be helpful.  I've already said "no", why would they want my card?

well that was an example [your price seems too high]    but theres other scenarios such as  a pained expression when i say "its Every month",   or just a sour looking face  you lads know wat i mean, you can spot them  - you know they wont last the distance

Why not say "you didn't look too happy when I said <frequency or whatever>. Is that a problem?"  Then you're just discussing it rather than ignoring it.

No point they will just come over and annoy you again the next time your on the street.
Just tell them that you have a full round and wont be taking anybody else on.
