How do you guys loosen the heads on di vessels?
I jam the base of the vessel against a wheel/tyre of the van with my foot and then twist the top. Tonight, it wouldn't budge and then after two minutes of effort and cursing, it let go fast and I "thumbed" the tyre big time. Thought it was broken at first but just sprained.
I have to have them on tight to avoid leaks. Any tips appreciated.

I elbowed myself in the clackers once while trying to undo a DI while holding the base between the insides of my boots.

It came lose all of a sudden.

Just chant..... Hare Krsna, Hare Krsna, Krsna Krsna, Hare Hare, Hare Rama, Hare Rama, Rama Rama, Hare Hare. It's beats chanting Tory Tory or Labour Labour.

😄

I changed all the connectors to brass or stainless fitting in the head and now use a soft faced mallet and a quick tap will release it - don't use this method on plastic as they break  ::)roll

Hot water on the plastic top expands it makes it much easier to get off.

When i 1st started i was di only, and as such, i sometimes found myself having to change resin when out. I soon got into the habit of, if it happened, finding somewhere with a rough tarred, or concrete surface. This provided the necessary grip to the plastic base of the bottle, whilst i leaned down hard and twisted. I also, through trial and error, came to the conclusion that the top was easier to come off once the pressure had been released.

hold vessel between feet lean over placing hand on top of vessel hard pushing down and with you other hand tap like a mallet against the fittings and they start to shift if stubborn.
Are they 7's, 11's or 25's?
