Quats/ biocide maybe from BCA ;D

No - Rhinopotion was used - it is something we get made up ourselves from a specialist chemical manufacturer - seems to work on many things - well happy with it - but we are not retailers so unfortunately- NO you cannot buy it from me :P

The BCA - is not really about supplying chemicals - it is basically a building cleaning academy that teaches people how to clean.

Even though I have been involved with the BCA - by attending the courses, just to see if I could learn anything new - I have been in the cleaning game for 28 years - "I know - I'm an old git!"

There are always new tricks to learn for all of us - and the BCA is something new and well worth a look into if you need help/guidance and have the money to invest in yourself.

One thing I understand for sure is " how to grow to a decent size business in a relatively short space of time.

What I have understood over the past 28 years - is not always "how to clean" - "what equipment to use" - "which health and safety training should I get" and what "memberships" should I join - it is how to get new customers and keep the old ones - and for some reason many small business owners don't seem to "get" this at all.

Small business  owners actually believe by getting all accreditations etc that they will rise above the average other small businesses out there and will surely get a lot of the new customers who are seeking their services - Wrong! They will have spent good money and they WILL NOT get any more customers from this.

One of the main reasons small business owners believe gaining H& S training and other so called accreditations etc will help get them new business is that the accreditation organisers/owners TELL YOU that by using their logo etc on your website, leaflets etc will get you noticed above other similar types of businesses who don't have them - they will tell you this because THEY WANT YOUR MONEY - and they know you have it, and they know you will spend it! because they know you do not have a clue how to grow your own business and that you will simply try anything at any expense in order to grow your  business but DON'T KNOW HOW TO

The newly self employed person will first just think about earning a wage- then they should realise they can earn a really good wage for themselves - but still do not "get it" that they have become - Entrepreneurs and many rarely fully exploit their true potential.

Many self employed people - forget the fact that "they are a business" and with a little bit of thought they can have a   really high earning business - just like the so called bigger businesses out there that they may look up to.
The world really has become your Oyster when you leave the J -O- B - society Exploit your new found freedom to the full!

Once you get the customer you will find a way to clean whatever you need to - the internet has most answers - and you will be able to find the right kit to do the work and achieve phenomenal results in whatever you do.

If you need help with anything send me an e mail darran@purple-rhino.co.uk

Really good post :)
