There has been a bit of debate on this I know the 230 connect is a good size payload of 900kg I would like to fit a 650l there I know I don't need to but I live in a flat and I want to buy or fill tank most up

With my wieght and tank and battery call it 150kg leaves around 100kg
I don't use ladders cos they are baned so no roof rack
Think ill be good with a 650?

So you don't carry a pole, brushes,pole hose, hose reel, fuel, frame,pump,hose,spares,bulkhead, ply lining,cones etc

Front axel will be well overloaded.

Just about, but my 650 tank + frame and fixings weighs 65kg a battery 10/15kg, so 80kg. Do you only weigh 70kg clothed and belted?

The danger is you are not tempted to creep over and if a second man joins then his weight plus extra reel, pump etc will add a further 150kg.

A married couple (she was probably about 10 stones 70kg booted and suited) I knew had a Pug expert with a 900kg payload and they drew a line on the tank at about 550litres so they"knew where to fill to".

My van has a 1060kg payload and I reckon I'm on the limit with two up (lardy geezers!) and a full tank. Take away 150kg fpr the extra man, reel, pump, pole, gear and I'm there or thereabouts at 910kg left if it was me and the 650.

You can just about do it with a layflat tank I reckon, draw a line on it and fill to 550 or 600 when you know you have a full tank of fuel.

If you are going to fit a 650l tank, take it to a weigh bridge with the tank empty and see how much it weighs, then you can work out how much water you can carry.

There is threads from time to time on this forum about trying to put over weight and over sized tanks of water in you vans. I know the weight these van can carry is advised by the manufacture but it might be good for your van to have water moving about even with the baffles in the tanks we use.
    I have  connect and have a 350 liter tank and would not dream of anything larger. I think water it quite different from a solid goods. Fitting over sized tank are just killing your van and reducing the life of your van never mind your safety. Why not fill up and go back and  refill half way through the day which I often do. Its just a sort of crazy lack of understanding of the stain one put on all the van`s mechanical systems.

Which connect do you have if its a baby t200 350 is normal the 230 is the daddy and I know 500 100% works but trying to see with 600 now

My pump controller is wired directly to my van battery, so no heavy leisure battery in there, i dont do trad, so no ladders etc. With a full tank on a customers weighbridge, i was 40kg under gvw. About 90kg last time i checked!.

And yes, i know the figures dont add up, that is why i go on about payloads and tank sizes, getting labelled a keyboard warrior in the process!. From my own weighbridge encounter, and reading posts on here from others who have gone over a weighbridge and got a shock, it seems that manufacturers 'quoted' payload bears as much relevance to the gvw reality, as manufacturers 'quoted' mpg figures.

400L TANK and maybe 2 barrels taking you up to 450L imo in a van with a 900kg payload.

i took my Traffic 2700 to the weigh bridge with a full 650ltr tank, full diesel tank, loads of tools/junk, and was 200kg OVER allowed weight.

Don't forget weight of tank itself prob 30kg and weight of tank frame plus all the additional stuff. I have a transporter and I only fill to 500 most days and sometimes 550 max with frame and hosereel and bits and bobs.
