Who said canvassing works?

I knocked two houses next door to a new job yesterday and didn't get either. Canvassing 100% does not work.  ;D

i dont really bother anymore these days.word of mouth, recommendation and walk ups while working.these customers generally are much better and often turn into good solid customers.

the only time i canvass is when a customer i used to clean for moves and the new owners move in.
price higher/work harder!

Well I did my first canvassing of 2014 last sunday. I picked up 4 new customers. So it does work.

 8) 8)

On top of the recommendations, I am now 7% up on the year.

Everything works

Just with canvassing you can expect people to change minds or cancel cos sometimes they were talked into it, or put on the spot leaflets less leads but mostly more serious
Personally I prefer canvassing and leafleting together leaflet an area to soften them up then knock
