4040;help needed
« on: March 13, 2014, 06:44:38 pm »
Ive been given a 4040 ro unit to use and when i run it it reads 151. Ive sorted 20" sediment and carbon filters as advised so got full deal. My water from source is 264 so am i right in assuming there is a problem with the filterbin 4040? Surely 151 is off the scale for this unit.

4040 guru's i need ur help please

Looks as if you have went wrong somewhere even if the membrane was past its
best it world still get the tds below 150.
What is your waste to pure ratio ?
Do you have low water pressure coming from the tap ?
Try flushing the R.O. for a few hours to see if the tds comes down any.
A 4040 working properly with the right water pressure would easily get the tds below 10 if its 264 at the tap.

Thanks to you all.

Gives me hope. Will get another membrane. Not sure abouy my waste ratios or mains pressure but will look into it. Looks like theres low and high presuure membranes looking at cleaning spot. Hopefully as i dont use booster pump yet the low pressure one will do the trick.

Much appreciated
