Wow I have been turning my flow controller off after every house! I have a Vyair Pro digital flow controller with an E-Chen ECRV05L pump off my van battery. I have an on/off handle/valve at the bottom of the tank, so this gets opened, then controller on and off I go. When I'm done, close the valve, turn controller off and I drive off - so you guys leave the controller on? It's obviously at DE but I didn't know if it being on and drawing power from the van battery while the van battery was in use and charging whilst me driving, would damage either the van battery or controller?
No water would come out as I'd have the tank valve set to off, but if I could leave the controller on all day, that'd save me some time throughout the day's work.
I use a van port rather than the reel bolted to the van, so am disconnecting and reconnecting the reel hose all day if that makes a difference - on disconnecting the reel hose from the van port, water always shoots out at a fair rate, any way to stop this? I don't know why the pressure builds up that what ever water is there has to spray everywhere but it'd be nice for it not to happen after every house clean! It's hitting me and the van sill and underneath. I try to think about the logic behind it but can't work it out - I turn the flow off using the pole hose tap, which would DE the controller and everything stops, though the pump would keep checking and trying to move the water as it does. I get to the van, close the tank valve, turn the controller off, put everything else away, then disconnect the reel from the van port (it's just normal garden hose that connects the reel to the van port) and whoosh, water everywhere.
