I've been using one for a couple of weeks now and I think they are great. Loads lighter than an Aquadapter (you genuinely don't notice the extra weight).

I spoke to Peter (on his forum) about a concern that they "turn off" quite easily and he said after a week or so of use, they "tighten up", which it has  :)

Only downside is, in my opinion, they aren't suitable for fascia cleaning. With all the twisting and turning of the pole, you never know if it's on or off! No real sweat though.... it can be removed in seconds  ;D

Great product Peter  :)

Thanks for the feedback Dave.  I am assembling them differently now without the grease so that they will be at the right tension from the start.  Dave do you find that you get used to doing fascia's with it when you get used to it more, or did you just take it off for that?? The ease of use on awkward stuff is determined what side you are standing at, did you notice that?

i am very interested in the brass barbs, a good reason for these i think is, if you use hot ever (we use an immersion) and the barb will be stiff enough to attach a clip or something holding the pole hose to the barb.  our water isn t that hot so we dont actually have a problem with conectors though,

No problem Peter.

To be honest, I tried a fascia clean with it when it was new and was turning off quite easily (maybe a bit better now, now that it's "bedded in")... Next one I do, I'll leave it on and try again. Watch this space!

Cheers

Michael a few people that I know of have little hose clamps to keep the hose on or stop it leaking.  The barbs keep their shape even with boiling water, so shouldn't be a problem with a hot system.

Dave, I do know quite a lot of people who use them for everything and its just a case of either working in a slightly different way, or putting pressure on the pole in a slightly different way.  It will take a little practice before it just comes second nature.  If its something you are not doing much though, it would take a while before you got to that stage.
