They do your head in?

I feel more insulted that they think we're likely to believe this garbage.

They work on the principle that if they run the story often enough eventually they might be right.

Back in September they also said that we were in for a sub zero 4 months over Autumn / Winter time.  Load if boll*cks as usual.

They should start all their stories with 'once upon a time'.

Nope - not yank weather.

The jury is out on this supposed cold spell but at the moment the various models are favouring not so cold.

During next week it's looking likely for cold in the north east with wintry showers getting less cold down towards the south west and cloudier with.... further rain.

It's quite a complex set up.

Sweet.
Perhaps naïve but I'm looking at it as though it's only gonna be bad for 7 weeks.
March is usually ok

It's air that circulates via the Arctic or Greenland or occasionally from over Russia that brings cold weather. Weather that comes via the Atlantic tends to be wetter and milder as it's gone over an ocean but the more land it goes over after reaching here, the more it cools down. So weather coming from a south westerly direction will have cooled by the time it's over the NE.

After next Weds or Thurs, no one really has a clue.

Does anyone on here have customers who ask you what the weather is going to be doing?

I get it quite a lot. I mean, HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO KNOW!!!

I also get the opinions of some who tell me what it will be doing (usually preceded by 'not today thank you')!

It's strange.

People expect those who work outside to have a better idea of what the weather will be like.
