What a condescending article.
Lee must be really hard up for contributors to give this guy so much room.
Basically if you pay lots for a very simple machine to pump water to a brush you'll make more money and be a better window cleaner and not die poor.
I'm am engineer by trade and I dare say I know more about how systems work than he does.
It makes my blood boil to see people like this basically trying to con the uninformed out of their hard earned.
It reads like one of those lying I can change your life and make you rich if you only give me lots cash articles you read in down market magazines.

to be fair i don't think Carl actually says that you should buy one of their systems.  i think his point is your aspirations and your beliefs about what you can achieve are the most important thing to what you achieve.

if you are only looking to pay your bills and make a bit on the side, and there is nothing wrong with that, that is what you'll achieve.

if Carl is guilty of something it is perhaps believing that others should have the same aspirations as he has, which is to grow a massive business in this industry.

you so clearly do have self esteem issues!  you read criticism from my initial comments, when there was no criticism there.  if you were self assured and happy with yourself and your business, it would have been like water off a ducks back.  the truth is the only criticism was in your head and you read that into my comment.

I think I might be qualified to comment here.

Ian Lancaster Window Cleaner comprises 10 vans all fitted with DIY WFP systems without the necessity of incurring any debt whatsoever.

Maybe I'm "The exception that proves the rule", but I think our record shows that a reliable and efficient WFP system does not equate to the spending of thousands of pounds.

Nor does having a vastly expensive set-up have any direct effect on the earning potential of any individual.

I applaud people like DMC if they have the marketing drive to sell their product, after all that's what we all do - but I do think looking down on us lesser mortals because we are not blinded by their brilliance is inviting the sort of criticism displayed in this thread.
