Yes James, if you re-read what I posted, you'll see I have used mine in the past to advertise in other groups and pages in the areas I work. I got quite a bit of work from that. However, I see minimal response from having other windies on there. As you've pointed out, if some are local to eachother, it might generate interest now and again from news feed. But it's a bit indirect to be honest. I mean, who reads a plumbers page where his mates talk about last weekends booze up, or what they're having for lunch? Why would people read what we post? That's more suited to twitter.

If it generates work for you, then that's great, but I've looked at the other pages on this thread, and most haven't been posted on for months and in some cases longer  ???

Now web sites with more traffic etc, I get that! Get to the top of Google etc, but Facebook? Having said all that, good luck with it James.  ;) I'll boot Franky off mine though, he sneaked in one day while I wasn't looking  ;D

1 - Create personal facebook page, add everyone as 'friends' in your town.

2  - Create business page, chuck on a few photos and offers.

3 - Spam you business page via your personal page.

4 - Get friends and family from your personal page to 'share' your business page.

Bobs your uncle!

(The reason why its good to have fellow window cleaners 'like' your business page, is so that all your photos and offers get 'likes')

(Your nextdoor neighbour wont 'like' and 'comment' on your recent gutter clean photo, but window cleaners will)

Yep, got that, but that's a lot of work and other people needed to get a job inn it? Isn't it better to have a page full of custies? Then when you write on your wall where you are working next day etc, that gets posted on custie's friends pages etc.

I just found it much easier to post on other groups and pages directly. Everyone to their own I suppose.
I still use Facebook to PM custies for access sometimes, or remind them to do a PayPal or bank payment. Good luck lads.

THIS one thing can make a HUGE difference in your website ranking too if its linked to your FB page - - the weight of social links & activity has increased in every Google algorithm update in the last 18 months and the trend seems set to continue!  ;)
