Unless I put my prices up each year I tell my customers I'm technical putting prices down! Which in long term they will b without a window cleaner or have a cheap 1 every few months not knowing who they are or can trust.
It makes business & good sense to keep profits up....

very rarely.
But i do have in a street some people paying £10, some paying £12 and some £15 for the same type of house.
I look at as a kind of reward for sticking with me.
even the lowest price work is ok though as i price high initially.

Always carry a few "we have had to put our prices up" letters in van and just do them as I go when I feel the job is worth a few quid more.

however the minimum price goes up every 3 years when I started in 2010 my min was £10 in late 2012 it went up to £12 so towards end of 2015 it will go up to £14 - obviously there are exceptions to this for example I do a row of 1 bed cottages with 2 windows and 2 skylights each and these are £6 each but with 4 of them £24 in under 10 minutes is fine by me also if a neighbour of a current customers wants theres doing then I charge the same so could be a tenner.

eventually though Im gonna increase all the ten quidders by a pound or two but there will always be a max that "you can get away with" in all parts of the uk

connies were my big downfall as only used to stick £2 on to price for these  :o

now work on 50p a panel so most are between £6 to £8 extra on top of house charge.

i havent put mine up in 4years simply because the town im in is packed with window cleaners compertition is fierce in some cases im to cheap but it keeps the wanna be window cleaners at bay if they want to undrcut me so be it . when i go out canvassing i quote low and usualy get the job with just room for profit ive got a general idea of the going rate around where i clean so i keep my price below .
makes it a bit harder for some one to poach they would have to do it very cheaply

Some weird logic here so will add mine.

I am repricing a lot of my work next year. I will be increasing most by £1 - £4 Average being £2 But i am also giving some options for 8 weeks.

On some houses i turn up after 4/5 weeks and the windows are spotless. I agreed with a few customers on skipping cleans. Been monitoring this year on these skipped cleans and the difference between 4 and 8 weeks is nothing. So instead of the being £15 every 4 weeks, they will be offered £20 every 8 weeks.

Worked out i can do easily two of them in and hour. Arrive, setup, clean, chat, packup and then drive away. So thats ya £30.

But i would rather do the same and earn £40.

I know in the short term i will be worse off, but once i have more work in the long term i will be better off.

Been trying it with some customers and their attitude has changed with me. Basically happy to uber happy lol. They are saving money, i am making more money and windows are pretty much the same :)

I worked out that if I double my price every clean, before the end of next year I will be earning £18,432 per clean. That is just the average, so the big jobs will be well worth while.
Lot of money in window cleaning.

I've only lost 2 customers in five years through price increases, people expect things to go up so as long a it's a reasonable increase you should be ok.

I put prices up on any job that i get the cant be bothered feeling on, its a huge mistake to not price  rise in our game!.
I started 10/12 years ago with a round of £6 houses done trad which are now £12/15 done wfp.
I mainly just do fronts now at £10 a pop that i dont feel the need to up the prices on them and havnt for the last 2 years and i love doing them.

Everyone here has said they put their prices up but one actually has said by "HOW MUCH"?

I have been gong for 2 years now and was thinking of upping the price next year but £1 for each customer.

whats the normal price your would put them up by?
