Thanks for that...

I'm going to start getting all the WFP equipment out, just do tops, put all WFP back in van, get trad gear out, fill up bucket, start trad, stop to replace squeegee rubber, carry on tradding... Sounds much quicker!

I take it you are leaving the frames when tradding the bottoms, if so, not really a true comparison.

its NOT quicker generally ive found.

today i had a commercial job first thing and i usually trad the entrance windows and a few door panels to the side but with it being wet i just wfpoled everything.i was about 5 mins quicker.

i use a high flow with hot water.its very fast to clean a window, frame and sill thats normally cleaned wfp.

some ground floor windows are just as quick trad but not quicker.this is on  tight space work or large plate glass windows but thats it.

im no slouch with a squeegee either as ive 20 years experience using one.
price higher/work harder!

The only time it's quicker to trad is on hydrophobic glass on a pair of patio doors but time you fart ass around with trad gear for two panes of glass, it's simpler to wfp the whole lot. Don't understand why some wipe sills with a cloth after wfp use as water runs from glass onto sills after finishing windows anyway.

I disagree-to a point.
Blading high street shop fronts I found quicker trad than WFP.
Especially kebabs flung up 'em etc.
the only exception though

I'm not a very quick tradder.
Any window with kebab flung up it ain't getting shiny with WFP any time soon from my experience.
I don't do work like that anymore though.

Quicker?

I could see how maybe you'd save some time if you have spaced out work on a busy street with not much parking.

In those circumstances perhaps.

Otherwise.

No. Not quicker. No.

Maybe on some window types it might be just as quick but not miles quicker.
Sounds if you could be over cleaning using wfp especially if you think traditional methods
could be considered a lazy option.

I do all downstairs windows trad.

It's just the way I like to work. Saves me water and cost. And I'm roughly the same speed.

Unless it's Georgian windows with little panes. I do them WFP.

You lot who trad all your ground floor windows must be 8 foot tall to do it quicker than than the pole.
