Noticed on a few of my windows just lately, scratches.
Now I'm probably doing my paranoid thing again but thinking about it, the brush can get quite soiled with debris from cleaning, especially on first cleans.
Do any of you clean the brush whilst cleaning and if so how do you do it.
I thought of having a new handbrush to brush out my brush head inbetween houses.
The scratches probably were there anyway but its worth thinking about, any thoughts?

i tend to wash in boiling water at the week ends
Partially to remove debris and partially to get the bristles back to shape

The angle of the sun this time of year tends to show up scratches that were already there but not so easily seen at any other time of the year.

Is it April? ! if anyone mentions it I'm not going to mention the angle of the sun, they think I'm nuts as it is.
Thinking about it I have now stopped resting my brush against brickwork, maybe picking up brick dust?

just run your fingers through the bristles between dirty windows with the water flowing.it helps if the water is hot(keeps your hands warm as well!!)

gardiners stiff bristle brushes dont tend to hold the dirt for long.


what i do if the brush is dirty and the poles extended is just scrub a upper frame either side to side or up and down flicking the dirt off the bristles and rinsing it away.

I don't bother but why not filling a buck with pure water and dip in and out vigorously 😜

when mine is full of spider webs and debris I get rid by vigoursly rubbing it up and down a conveniant brick wall
