Looking into a gutter vac right now, it's a bloody headache isn't it?! Spoken to numatic, Karcher, omnipole & grippamax, all talking different size inlets, wattage, hosing, Christ alive!

Been gutter vacuuming for a few years now you need at least a 3000w hoover to get good results tried all types and omnipole are by far the best hoovers but the trolleys are weak and break easily, they sell probably the best hose aswell but is very costly, needed to no where to get from from a much better price?

There is a guy on the general cleaning section called kevin who sell it, think his company is called marble life.
Bought a 3.3 kw vacuum off him, and it is very good.

Also the quoted me 5 metres of 50mm ultraflex lightweight hose is £40.00 +vat which is good and best on the market

Ominpole cam is £600 way to much, but the cheap one on ebay is no 221245602052

The trouble I'm finding is knowing that a 4inch inlet and a 4200w engine can create enough suction when working at height. Also do you know who makes Omnipoles Vac?

I have been using a 3000watt vac for years and is more than enough for any job, I would say 4200watt would need a lot of power and you need one hell of a big to power it, so 3000watt is fine, I dont know who makes there vacs, but I know onmipole well and they invented the gutter vac 7 years ago and they know there stuff

What size inlet are you using at the mo, do you get many blockages? I asked em about if a genny would be needed on the 4200 and they said just plug in 230v which I thought could be mental?

OMNIPOLE did not invent the guttervac anymore than IONIC invented wfp both have been around for decades.

I dont know origins of the gutter vac but I do know that Omnipole was the first to bring it to the masses some years ago, I know glyn from many meeting from a trade association and wfp came from tucker pole usa but craig who brought WFP to the masses in the uk

After constant phone calls with various manufacturers it looks like the Numatic WVD 900 with side entry is the winner. Anyone else use one?

I have the omnivac, but not sure how they get to 4200w, when the motors are 1200w. Now I'm not the sharpest tool in the box, but i know 3 X 1200 = 3600.

I had a motor blow and bought through ebay, the motor was stamped up at 1200w!!!

I spoke to Omnipole, Numatic, Karcher and V-Tuf. Omnipole are the only one that don't manufacture their hoovers. They refused to tell me who this was even though we're looking to buy a machine. They don't sound too convincing over the phone and didn't fill me with any sort of confidence.

The main point I have understood is you can have a 2,3 or 4000w machine but it tends to come down to how the air is managed by the efficiency of the motor that makes the difference.
