All I'm saying Robert is my Opinion good luck to the guy, I feel there's no point well for me as I would do what I've been doing if a job came up like that again which for Me Robert is a rare thing so what I'm saying is I myself wouldn't bother wasting My time and My money in Obtaining the certificate for using platforms ect, ect. Each to there own and you don't need a certificate to become a company and not being a one man band as rc says. There's probably it of peeps
On here that are one man band I was once and like most as that's normally how it works when you start up a company and there's nothing wrong with being a one man band. I earned good money when I was on my own there was less stress than there is now but good luck to who ever is trying to build there business up

you say that they are rare to come up for you, that's because you and not IPAF trained!  ;D people look for that if its not on there site or anything, then they wouldn't ask you would they lol

but now that I am IPAF trained I can go to companies and target them, which you as a business cant do.

why pass money for someone else to do it when I can earn the money for myself now!

Pmsl !!! Well Spose your right if I ain't got that certificate then they not gonna get intouch, I got them few jobs with gene boom through schools we clean. They wanted all the beams cleaned about 40 ft high and about half a mile long. To be honest I put in high price as for one I didn't have the time they didn't ask for a certificate and couldnt beleive when the caretaker said yes thats fine so prob could have done it myself but if I damaged anything I wasn't insured so I got a cleaning company in they gave me there price so I was a grand in front which I made. But good luck in what your trying to acheive just not for me. I'm to old for all that u use to do alot of cradles, bolson chair work and some cherry work when I worked for a company many years ago but lucky enough we earn well enough to stay away from it. Better make sure you get insured with it thou 😃

At first I was like should I get IPAF training and etc and I did at first was like dam this is stupid as got no work but now I get a few wee night jobs.    I must admit I do Sub Contract few work like dannymack does however I do like to remain on site plus since getting to do one High clean they always pick me over other tenders as I always give them wee Mug or freebie :D.

But I would say defo push for it and when your in and up there just say 'I noticed you X Y & Z might need done'  once you say that also give them a very nice wee booklet and open it in there hands so they can see you do it too.   How many jobs the team come back and said 'Could you price for X Y & Z please'
