IBC without Cage

I've seen some IBC Tanks Local to me for as little as £10- they come without Pallet or Cage.  Any reason they would be no good for water storage?

The plastic tanks seem pretty rigid but with a tonne of water inside, I would want some sort of reinforcement!  Maybe a sturdy wooden box and a flat wooden base?

I asked the same question. Without the metal cage they can not hold 1000 ltrs without bursting open. Not worth trying if you ask me

I was looking at the same thing. Could they he that bad without a cage? Two bricks walls and a few fence posts maybe?

The scrappies took the cage for scrap but didn't want the plastic so left it behind.  ;D

not true, I bought a 1000l ICB without a cage for a tenner and have kept it full for almost a year now....

You'd need to see them yourself, a lot of the ones i've seen have been very different from each other. Some in the hard plastic look like they'd be fine, and then others in very thin and soft plastic look no good.
