Hello mate, could you give me some advice on this?
Just had a look on the people per hour site and how did you initially advertise for the person you were looking for? What was the job title, description etc that you used? I am thinking of going down this route and would appreciate any advice you can give?
Cheers.
 :)

Windie,
When coming into care homes etc are they prepared to take on one man bands like your standard pub would do, or would you need to do full blown risk assessments etc, I imagine with schools full CRb checks would need to be in place too.

I believe they clean them in the holidays but i'm sure all the teachers are drunk recovering from the school year so probably wont find them.

Windie-pretty much.

Wheelie-1/2 right in my experience, it's August. If its not been secured by end of June you ain't getting a look in.
The site managers (caretakers usually at a primary) are flat out and become site managers for the month if August.
I love my schools though.
Long days but easy. Good money. And more coffee than I could handle!

Sorry windie-I meant as in first clean after canvass.
On some schools the paperwork drops in my inbox as I'm walking out the door to do the job!
But only where I know the guys there.
Where I am-its all sewn up by July on first cleans.

How do you get 3 cleans a year?!
I get in/out in August and out only in February or April. And some baulk at that!

Far dearer? What's he doing £50a day?!

Can't be bothered to trawl through posts but I had the valeted in to do my car yesterday & today.
Yesterday 9-4
Today 8-4
One pit if wax he had (I googled it) was £150!!!
Obviously he didn't use all of it on my motor though.
How much do you reckon he charged me? (If you care?!)

Balls. Was hoping you'd guess higher. But yeah, bang on the money.
He's done a cracking job too. Looks show room bar a couple if stone chips in the bonnet. And the wheels. OMFG I wish my wife could park.
Well pleased.
Kind of looking forward to the rain to see how it 'beads'

I can't help but think though-£150 for one pot of wax and earning £100 a day. Can't see how he's making any money.
Not cussing him in any way cause he was sound and did a great job.
Seemed trustworthy-I left him the key to the car and the house while we went out.
