ive just spent half the night installing pocket george and getting bluetooth to sync on my new PDA. ;DGOOD JOB IM HAVING THE DAY OFF!!

first impressions are I LOVE IT!!

only thing is guys can you change the price of a job when you press the complete button?cos sometimes my prices change throughout my working day depending on whether i can access the backs on some houses or for various other reasons.i know you cant change the price on the job list on pocket george.

yes daz just put in new price and then it say is this job new price tick the box,

so no more worksheets in the van!ive tried the bluetooth hotsync to george on laptop and it works fine.i just had a few problems getting the bluetooth to sync with PC.all sorted now.

just one more thing.when out and about on my rounds does pocket george allow me to change payment method when collecting?eg cheque instead of cash.

You can have 8 weeks worth on it

yes!ive loaded a weeks work on it no problem!it gives you the options in the configurations program downloaded from george.dont forget to turn "live updates" on when your ready to sync changes from PDA to your PC.

what pda you get daz

i used to use this with a pda and it was brill

wish i never left it , my pda broke and wcpro came out so i swapped but i would swap back just use the pda as i dont think wcp lite is as good although ive not tried it

I bought a palm tx.brand new with leather case.it has Bluetooth so easy to sync on a windows 7 laptop.you can get em cheap on ebay second hand for around 20quid.mine cost 200quid including buying a 2.50 Bluetooth dongle for laptop.

Once the bluetooth has synced them together and uv downloaded the palm desktop software.you then download pocket george for free and do 2 hotsyncs.one to download pocket George and the other to transfer data to the palm.when ur ready to use it u download the configurations program from George and turn live updates on.you have the option to load a days work on the palm or up to a month if u want.I opted for a weeks work.

I love it!
