I decided today after doing one this morning that I much prefer not to do them  

Priced ok but just so tiring and shoulder aching much prefer to concentrate on cleaning windows from now on.

Also when people ask for a price they look at you like you have 2 heads when you quote em ... its as if they think u going to say a tenner.

thats because they do think your going to say a tenner  .. i find a lot think its as easy as a quick wash over.

I dont like doing them either but i like the money.

I hate conny roofs, but you have to do them really. I find fascias a doddle. It's the underside of soffits (?) I hate.

i only concentrate on windows and i have too many of them

yes they are harder work but ok when im earning £50-£60 an hour on these jobs.even better if i can plug into customers outside taps!

what i do is book them in next time i clean their windows so im not doing more than 1 or 2 a day in between my regular work.

ive picked up around £500 of add on work like this in  the last month without even trying!

I've been seriously considering not doing them anymore aswell.
Im just so busy with windows and windows are so much easier.
Still got 4 customers on waiting list for conny roofs to be cleaned though.

I found doing the underside time consuming until I put a scrim over brush
Tied with elastic band and what a difference saves loads of time

I did my last two on Saturday. Bloody Saturday and made the decision there would be no more uvpc or connie roof cleans or Saturday working.
There is a company round here called pcwizard, I think there are a franchise and cover the uk but the guy that works near me does a stunning job.

as mentioned-i don't like the work but price them well enough to make it worth while.
Also, if you don't do them, you're practically inviting another windie in to do it, who will perhaps be cheaper and or just as good...

I quoted a non custy £135 the other day, to do all gutters, fascia and windows as a 6 monthly job. He reckoned he had someone do it for tenner until last year.

quote em your time and price and its either yay or nay.

nay = ok no probs
yay = bumper earner.

i love doing the non regular custies aswell as they usually end up on the round.

I must admit its easier doing your normal cleans.. I find it hard work doing connies and fascia work.. But keep doing the buggers

I think that's the key charge double your hourly rate and hope they say no

But really as Daz mentioned for that money it's worth it.

If as I have   chargeging the same hourly rate as windows leads to be p'd off.

I have musclezone fish pole very light I think it's lighter than slx.
This makes it more bearable on the shoulders.

But as said rather do windows; especially regulars no nasty surprises "splish splash! give us the cash!"
