any good for 2 man set up
« on: May 28, 2013, 04:11:49 pm »
looking at maybe changing one of my vans, and was thinking of getting one slightly smaller as its mainly used for town work or local villages.

Anyone use  the 1.6 Citroen dispatch or the Peugeot equivalent?

I need it for 2 men and a 650l tank set up. I like the size of them but not sure if they are up to the job.

A friend of mine has a 1.6 dispatch with a 650L tank, he said its a bit gutless, but it does pull, if the engine wasn't able to cope with the payload, then they would not be fitted in the first place.

lee, do you mean its a factory fitted one? As you say I guess that means if it was not up to the job they would not fit it.

I use a 1.9 fiat scudo 650 ltr tank 2 man set up and works well.  Just bear in mind that fully loaded with 2 men its on its limit or just over weight as payload is only 815kg

Sorry, I meant that the manufactures would not fit a 1.6 into a van if it couldn't cope with the payload  :D
