« on: May 14, 2013, 07:17:11 pm »
my target between now and christmas is to get 70 new, well priced customers every 4 weeks! is this possible do you think?
How many new regular jobs a week/month should i be getting? at the moment with the weather picking up its around 10 a month, i have leaflets to be delivering and work 5 days a week at the moment.

Its quite common for us to gain 5 a week, without flyering or looking for new work.

Im at fault for never turning it away, and now find myself in a situation where we have far to much to handle.

... and when it hammer's it down all day like today, it stitches you right up  >:(

i usually have 1 or 2 enquires a week whether its add ons or regular new window cleaning jobs.its swings and roundabouts though.

sunny weather usually means more enquires.quite a few times they dont accept my price esp on add on jobs but im not bothered unless they want to pay a decent price.

james if you find your struggling with your workload and dont want to take on more staff. either sell some on or put the prices up of your lowest/pain in the bum work.

its surprising sometimes how a "grudge" clean can turn into a good job if you offer an "ultimatum" price rise.for example say you think the job is underpriced by quite a lot just say to the customer(i will have to put the price up by £5 or stop cleaning as i cant make enough money on this job"some will keep you on,some wont.

best wishes

dazmond
price higher/work harder!

I have been lucky for 2 reasons 1 windy is un-reliable and custys have got fed up and another windy is just sending his lads out and they dont really care they having been skipping jobs .

And in some cases skipping windows and still charging so bit of potential gold mine to be had currently in my work area . Mike

I'm getting about 2 per week. Used to get about 7-8 but have changed prices. Were I used to charge £6.50 a fortnight or £8/9 a month I'm now charging £15 a month on 3bed semis.

It's well above what anyone else charges round here and I'm not WFP.

There is one guy who is WFP and I'm twice as expensive and still taking customers.

I get 2-3 enquiries from my website each week

www.sunshine-cleaning.net

They use the contact form or phone.

I picked one up yesterday from a local lad. 2 houses together mum and daughter. Mum moves 3 houses away and asked him to stop at the old house. They couldn't contact him and I'm the only one with a website locally. They agree my price and SO request. Guess who gets the call.

Why do you charge so much then £15.00 a month for 3 bedroom semis surely your always at risk from losing custys, been undercut easier! I wouldn't be able to sleep at night. I like to have a reasonable price a few quid above what most charge, but not to steep I risk losing them.
So does a website make much difference then? I've been thinking about getting one for months

It depends on the saturation in your area. It's a good reference for customers.

As for charging more I agree with the comment that people buy people not services.

Make yourself the best person you can be, make people feel good and you can charge wgat you want.

You will build slower but stronger.
