got my first complaint yesterday about long scraches on bottom of frame and sill , its the first time ive had a complaint about this  and i cant say ive ever noticed it before any way the custy wasent to worried about it of corse i denied it as i had never noticed it before so i wasent gonna put my hands up right any way kept a eye out and sure egough long scraches which were going black over time with ingress of dirt i know fore sure its me because ive started to do a new account and ive kept an eye out and starting to happen agian so im being very care full surly every one else has noticed this.im wfp

You don't have to use a sill brush.
But you have to make sure that your brush is angled correctly so the brush stock doesn't rub on the sill, as that is what is causing the scratches.

ive got loads of customers with scratches on sills, most dont say to much, i use t-cut and a rag to wipe them, gets rid of them mate

Brush could scratch the sills but I couldn't see it scratching the frame.

Sand them down.
Start with 80-120 grit, finish at about 1000.
Then a wipe with some cif or something like it and spray with silicone or 'back to black' tyre shine.
Works a treat!

I have this a bit too and agree that it's the stock of the brush that makes the scratches/ marks. I carry a magic sponge in a pocket and the marks come off pretty quickly.

get the gardiner super lite sill brush and you'll never scratch anything again.

we got some complaints at the start, it was from the brush stock hitting the sill.  you can clean without scratching sills, but if you want a fast and easy 100% solution its the sill brush.

i have staff (who will never take as much care as you) and have used this sill brush for 12 motnhs and havent had one complainnt regarding scratches

Maybe I am reading this wrong but the bottom of the frame would only sit out about an inch from
the glass max.
The brush bristles would keep the stock at least an inch of the glass.
So how could it scratch the frame?

i agree with richard i have had a gardiners cill brush (the cheapest one) and i find it absolutely quality other people have said they fall apart but i have found this not to be the case at all
