This is my patch!
« on: April 23, 2013, 04:11:50 pm »
Had some muppet pull up and stop me today while I was delivering flyers saying you cant flyer round here this is my patch.

I told him there is no such thing as your patch and I can flyer anywhere I want.

He said if I loose any customers there will be trouble, so I gave him a flyer.

He said what  do I want a flyer for?  I said so you know how to get in touch with me :-)

I've had some leaflets delivered and had a few calls , texts , telling me to get off their patch. Makes me more determined to find work in that area.

Ive had a couple of these idiots spout off since I've been in this game.

I started to leaflet and door knock a new area to work in about 3 years ago. Set up about 50 custies. After a couple of months, some bloke tips up a few doors down and starts working the windows. After about 5 mins I walk over and say hello etc and introduce myself. He gives it the "this is my patch" routine.

I said something like "what's the problem, lots of houses that we can both work on and more than enough for 2 of us" etc. No, it's his patch and windies should stay away when someone is already in an area etc.

He had around 30 custies he said, and at that time I said nothing, just leafleted again and pulled another 75 + custies. After about another 3 or 4 months, he told his custies that he was no longer able to provide a service and was moving away.

There are still mongs like this about. Easy to spot, as their knuckles have scratches on them where they drag them along the ground.

No still don't understand, I must be thick

I was in Polesworth, Have not done Camp Hill yet as Nuneaton is currently over run with new window cleaners everywhere.

Seem to pass two or three on every street I work on these days.

This can be pretty commonplace in Liverpool. They don't just see another cleaner and mind their own business, they're right over to you !!!

When i started up, i lealfleted salford 6, had a run in with a tw*t there, ever since we just ignore each other, had a "warning "in Boothstown when i saw him, he just appologised and put it down to having a "bad day"

Talk is cheap!!!!
