Been dropping leaflets and gets a call to go and quote job this morning.

happy as on a close i do 3 on already.

Looks at house and tells her £10 every month.

"Oh no i dont want them every month ...... who has their windows cleaned every month !!"

errr about 320 people in the local area.

"Well I think I will have them done for the tenner then just call you when I want them done again"

no - dont take customers onto the books on that basis.

"Well looks like youve had a wasted journey then !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" she says rather annoyed by now 

errr no not really was passing ... see you bye

but she wants a row and goes on to say it dont say you only do regular customers on your leaflet but cant be bothered but she still bangs on about how it must be nice to be able to turn money down in this day and age.

So thinks right gonna have some fun here

asks her can she read english ? as states on my leaflet in big writing regular all year round window cleaning and thats exactly what we offer.

She then tells me to fook off 

Tells her to go get her fella out now ........... havent got one she says ....... just walked off laughing saying I wonder why

Had one today. Late payer. My invoice cards have stated 'payment
terms 14 days' for a few months now, anyway they owed 3 cleans today so I asked if there was a problem paying online? No he said just busy he also left out the apology, so I said (unprofessional) look I add a late charge now,
I offer all payment methods and can't afford as sole trader to allow multiple late payments. My charge will be £3 in future (not sure why I said £3). Oh I'm really sorry mate he said, I told him I can now be paid by card to which he suggested paying for 6 cleans, the 3 he owed plus the next 3. Sometimes a little 'I'm not having this today' can work in your favour.

i have one who owes me £18 who ive told im not cleaning them anymore as last time they answered the door he picked a argument and got gobby why he stayed in another room why his mrs stood at the door.
 He says i had added extra money on,always been a pain collecting money so i said "pay me what you owe me and get another window cleaner."
He soon shut up.
Told another one the same who got the arse because i kept collecting 2 payments at a time.

Probably not worth the hassle considering their attitude but maybe you could offer one offs for double the normal monthly price so £20

I did think about telling her about our 1 off prices but she yold me to do one before I had chance

Would have called Gav Camm for back up as caught him on my patch again (  ) a few minutes earlier so I knew he was in the area but was actually going to say along lines off didnt mean to wind your missus up but cant run a business along lines of a tenner every 8 months ......... do 3 others on close so didnt want any evils next time im up there which is actually tomorrow.

we charge a min of £45 for one offs and do about 1 a month...  so you will get them...  we've got one client who has a one off every 3 months for £60, which is nice!

we also get people who want them done all round for £6!  Its a funny business
