« on: April 16, 2013, 04:13:27 pm »
i had a customer last week ask me  to clean her neighbours windows and she would pay as they were really filfy, but she wanted me to lie to the lady next door and say i was doing freebies, as this lady is out of work and is to proud to except charity. i'm a useless lier and said i didn't want to get involved.

what would others have done.

I'd have done it. If she asked I'd have pretended not to speak English or said something like 'bolox I've cleaned the wrong house, sorry'

I would have done it and not charged anyone, IF, I could have done the job in less than 15 mins and I had the consent of the ladies windows I would have been cleaning.

Your customer sound's an interfering type. I would mind my own business unless the house owner asked me.

But... its keep speople happy i suppose  ::)roll

No from me. As well as being dishonest, the lady who is accepting charity unwittingly could then be so pleased that she will tell all her friends that she has a window cleaner who works for free.

Had one once but the wife didn't want her husband to know she was paying for a window cleaner to do the windows.

Went pear shaped within a couple of cleans so I won't get involved with this either - either all out in the open or not at all.
