Has anyone used one of these and are they any good for internals?

Gardiners advertise them on their website, so i guess it must get Alex's seal of approval?

Richard - i have used the vikan for around 18 months - and it's not the best bit of kit ever invented.

results can be hit and miss on 1st cleans requiring glass to be cleaned twice, i use white vinegar on the pads
as i found using pure smears the dirt with streaky result

It's great for regular cleans where you cant normally reach without a ladder/steps

i always change the pad every 3 to 4 windows/ glass panels otherwise they smear. they take a bit
of getting used to as regards using as they dont glide over the glass too well, but once you have the
knack it's all ok.

i have just brought one
yes they do take some getting use to
but overall ok they are good for light dusting
not so good for 1st cleans
but handy to have in van
we have   found they  good on escalator glass aswell

Two pad approach, one to take off the dirt, the other for buffing up. Only on very clean glass can you get away with using just one pad.
You need something more then just pure water, use some good old mr. muscle. Cuts through dirt easily and evaporates quickly.

Angle is quite important, as they don't glide very well over the glass.

We have been using these for a few years now. We have easy shine kits and dragon fly.

I think they are great but have limitations. For first time cleans they are not great and can be slow but with practice they are fine, but for maintenance cleans you cant beat them.

Some of my internal jobs have been reduced in time from 1 hr to about 15 mins.

Got a 50' high  internal in a couple of weeks so the dragon fly will be invaluable as access is impossible using any other method.

I have found adding some hard surface cleaner to the water for first time cleans works great.

Dragon fly is the complete package by one of the suppliers, which has a leather belt with pure water bottle, battery and pump, and attached to an X-tel pole with vikan easy shine mop head. On top of the pole is small misting nozzle. You can quite easily make something yourself, and is not worth that much money in my opinion.

I've used it for about a year now, and i heartily recommend it.

The one thing i would say is that under really bright sunlight, it will show up dust on a window that you can't always see when it's cloudy / overcast.

I'd recommending tradding every four cleans to get rid of any dust.

But it saves me about an two hours a week on my jobs.
